In 1974, W.R. “Bob” Sutherland opened the first mini storage facility in Lexington, Kentucky near the intersection of Nicholasville and New Circle Roads. Since that time, Space Center Storage has grown to 12 locations throughout Kentucky with 10 locations in Lexington, KY as well as locations in the Fern Creek area of Louisville, KY and Shelbyville, KY. Over forty years have come and gone since we first opened for business but we are still family owned and operated company.
Each of our stores is staffed on site by professional and courteous managers that are trained and skilled in helping determine the correct type and size storage that will best fit your needs. We pay particular attention to make sure that our stores are clean and comfortable for our customers and their belongings.
We offer both traditional self-storage units which are suited for items that you would be comfortable storing in a garage type area and temperature controlled storage spaces which are ideal for more sensitive items like electronics and furniture.
